1980-1990

Pauline and Howard moved to Guildford, Surrey. Oscar and Rebecca both studied the arts: Rebecca Fine Art Textiles at Goldsmith’s College, London, Oscar Painting, Printmaking and Theatre Studies at Bretton Hall College, Yorkshire and Printmaking at the Royal College of Art, London.

Oscar took part in several printmaking projects in Yorkshire, Glasgow and London, while Rebecca taught Art to children with special needs. She participated in several performance projects.

Glory continued to produce her surprising garments as a hobby (whilst her husband, Teddy, sang regularly with the local choir, until his death in 2000)

Pauline and Howard continued to teach on the secondary and tertiary levels respectively. Pauline led an Art Department in Guildford. Howard also worked in Theatre-in-Education and Teacher Education, especially in Cleveland, Yorkshire and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. They both continued to produce two-dimensional work. Howard devised several new performances.

Chronology

1958-1968

1958-68 The work by Howard and Pauline, in this period, was carried out at the school of art in Camberwell, London and at a shared studio in nearby Addington Square.

1969-1979

Whilst bringing up a family and teaching, Howard and Pauline continued to produce their own art work. They lived in Sydenham, South London where Pauline taught, mostly at Forest Hill School.

1980-1990

Pauline and Howard moved to Guildford, Surrey.

1991-1999

Rebecca and Robin Grierson met and soon after started a family, living in Sydenham, London.

2000-2009

Pauline and Howard built a studio in Baugé, Maine et Loire, France, where they spend a third of their time. Robin’s work continued to be published and exhibited extensively.

2010 To The Present

Howard and Pauline moved to Bognor Regis, West Sussex. They are continuing their work there. Work went on also in Baugé, France until October 2013 when they sold their property.
